The political satire The Autocrats takes you on a tour to the world of politics every week. You get to know the who's who in Finnish political life. The series is carried out by combining 3D animated caricatures of the well known Finnish politicians and vocal imitation.

The Autocrats (Itse valtiaat) has gained increasing popularity among both the adult and children viewers. It is one of the most popular series in Finnish television. During the years of production the series has been directed by Juha Kukkonen and Rike Jokela. The original director Riina Hyytiä is now back in directing The Autocrats. Working as a script editor together with the director is the producer Olli Haikka. He is also the man behind the original idea of The Autocrats.
